Faith and Family Life
"The family exists at the heart of all societies. It is the first and most basic community to which every person belongs. There is nothing more fundamental to our vitality as a society and as a Church. For, in the words of Pope John Paul II, 'the future of humanity passes by way of the family.'"
—(On the Family, no. 86)
"Follow the Way of Love
"Follow the way of love, even as Christ loved you."
—Ephesians 5:2
The family is the foundation of society. When faith is lived in the home it has its best chance at bearing life long fruit. Understanding the importance of family and God's role in a family is essential to the healthy development of girls. Through faith-based programs coordinated by the National Catholic Committee for Girl Scouts and Camp Fire, young people and their families are offered the opportunity to explore the Catholic faith together.
