The National Catholic Committee for Girl Scouts and Camp Fire welcomes you to our new website. Our hope is that you will find resources, information, and tools to support your work with Catholic young people in Scouting programs.
National Catholic Committee for Girl Scouts and Camp Fire is a constitutive member of the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM)—an organization of affiliated dioceses and collaborating organizations. NFCYM's stated purpose is to “serve those who serve the young Catholic Church.” 
Through NCCGSCF the NFCYM furthers their mission by fostering the development of youth ministry throughout the church.
NFCYM and GSUSA: Updated Position Statement, February 15, 2012
A continuing dialogue exists between GSUSA and the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry, through the National Catholic Committee on Girls Scouts and Camp Fire. Several issues have arisen in the past two years that have caused some leaders and organizations to question the relationship between GSUSA and the Catholic Church. New Patches
St. Elizabeth and Mother Teresa Patch
The Catholic Identity Patches continue with the addition of the St. Elizabeth (Women in Scripture) and Mother Teresa (Models of Faith).
Catholic Girl Scouts—100 Anniversary Patch
Commemorate 100 years of Girl Scouting! Encourage Catholic girls to explore the rich traditions of their Catholic faith and Girl Scouting. Download the patch requirements (210 KB) and have your troop members complete them.
Parenting Resources
Parents are charged with the responsibility of passing on the gift of faith to their children. The NFCYM has developed materials to aid in that responsibility. When asked about the most important influences in their lives teens consistently list their parents as the people they first look to for help, guidance, advice, and approval. When it comes to shaping values and attitudes about faith and life, parents, whether they realize it or not, have a greater impact on their teen than peer groups or the media.

Our Work
